Let's try to understand how the mechanism of producing GMP works, and determine the stages of the GMP-producing process. The widest meaning has GMO. They are the organisms, grown by the scientists in the laboratories and then on the fields. After that GMO are processed and the scientists get GMS. Particulary these sources will be added into products, which later will be marked as GM-products.
Genetically modified organisms (GMO) are the organism or a number of organisms, any uncellular, monocellular or multicellular forms, which can reproduct themselves or transfer special genetic information. They differ from natural ones and were produced with the help of the genetic engineering. They contain special genetic information and genes, their fragments or combinations as well.
Genetically modified sources (GMS) are the sources used by a man as food in natural or processed state. They were produced from genetically modified organisms.
Genetically modified products (GMP) -
using some methods of the genetic engineering, scientists isolate a gene of some organism and build it into a DNA of another plant or animal. The products containing genetically modified parts are called GM-products.
